How does Surrey Research Park support space businesses?

Surrey Research Park (SRP) serves as a ‘launchpad’ for space businesses, fostering innovation through key partnerships with organisations like the UK Space Agency, Surrey Space Centre, and the Space South Central cluster.

What is Space South Central?

Space South Central is the UK’s largest regional space cluster – and growing! It’s a partnership between industry and academia, designed to; accelerate space business growth, foster an environment of innovation, grow the reputation of the south-central region and contribute to national prosperity.

Working closely with our partners, the space cluster supports and guides, both those looking to break into the space industry and those already established within it.

For example, Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL) leads satellite innovation, launching constellations that support global communication. While companies like Earthi, IsardSat and Alcis leverage Earth observation data and AI to provide actionable insights. Myriota specialises in Internet of Things (IoT) satcom data transmissions.
