Members Only: Customer Discovery Sessions

Entrepreneurs, start-up founders and product managers need to understand how their customers feel about their problems and challenges, and what types of solutions they would consider.

This is hard to do when expectations about your product’s features and capabilities have already been set internally. How can you match what your customers truly need with a product or service you can realistically deliver within your budget and resources?

It starts with insights into your customers, so you can let go of your internal assumptions and refocus your business on validated customer requirements.

If you’re struggling with how to match your product with the needs of a complex and dynamic market, this course is for you. We’ll explain how to reorient your thinking towards customer discovery early in the product development process.

You’ll learn the approaches to customer discovery espoused by successful business founders and product leads.

And you’ll actually plan and deliver a customer interview project with our guidance, presenting your findings at a final feedback session.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify risky assumptions about your company or product value proposition relating to customer segments and relationships
  • Plan a series of open questions that reveal your customers’ customer motivations and requirements
  • Devise and implement a short, targeted customer interview project
  • Summarise, categorise and reflect on your interview findings, with expert mentor and group feedback
