The information applies to all tenants of the Research Park with some additional information for our managed properties listed below:
The Surrey Research Park is part of the University of Surrey and is managed via the Research Park Office based in the Surrey Technology Centre at 40 Occam Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 7YG.

Parking on the Research Park is for tenants and their visitors in their allocated parking area. All vehicles must display a valid permit which are issued free of charge by the Research Park Office – each company should keep a register of vehicle registrations with allocated permit numbers.

Access to the Park is available 24/7 and 365 days a year. During certain hours access may be controlled by our Security team based on site.
Each company is required to appoint a key holder who can be contacted outside office hours in an emergency. Please fill in the Key Holder Form and return to the Research Park Office. This can be a representative of the company or a contractor.
Tenants are responsible for the cleaning of their own unit. If your building has common areas the Research Park Office may manage cleaning in these areas. If you are unsure please contact the Research Park Office on 01483 579693 or email email@example.com.
Tenants are responsible for managing Health & Safety and fire risks within their own unit. Tenants should ensure they comply with all regulations and where appropriate, risk assessments are in place for their workspaces.
Additional guidance to assist tenants in their responsibilities is available on the HSE’s website at www.hse.gov.uk.
All contractors working on site whether directly for the University or a tenant of the Park, must comply with the University of Surrey’s policies – copies are available at https://www.surrey.ac.uk/about/our-policies.
All contractors must provide evidence of liability insurance when working on site which should be for a minimum of £10 million.
Maintenance of external surfaces (walls, roofs, gutters and windows) of a managed building and any internal common areas including lifts, water services, fire maintenance, electrical inspections or any other services detailed within the building’s service charge will be maintained by the Research Park Office.

Tenants must advise the Research Park Office of any work which they plan in their unit and provide details of the contractor who is to carry out this work. A Licence for Alteration issued by the Research Park Office must be completed before works start.
If you require the services of a handyman to move furniture, install small amounts of cabling, put up whiteboards and more, we have a maintenance contractor on site who will be happy to provide a quotation – ABC Group – 01483 237066.
Refuse collection stores for general and recycling waste are small brick/timber enclosures located in the car-parks of managed buildings. Bins are emptied regularly. If you have additional requirements please contact the Research Park Office on 01483 579693 or email@example.com.
Any additional bins located within bin stores should be labelled with the company name to ensure these are not removed.
