Laboratory Technician

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

ANGLE is a world leading and growing liquid biopsy company that develops products for use in rare cell diagnostics that enable early, accurate identification of an individual’s condition for the prevention, treatment, and monitoring of disease.
ANGLE’s research and development facilities in Guildford, UK are looking for a Laboratory Technician.

You will be a Technician who can apply expertise in practical laboratory work. This is an important position, contributing to the smooth running of our laboratory, providing technical support to the scientific team. The job is laboratory based working in a multi-disciplinary team. Goals and tasks are agreed daily with your supervisor.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Provide scientific and technical support to programmes and projects.
• Responsible for quality and regulatory compliance of work undertaken.
• Contribute to running of laboratory facility, including receiving and unpacking deliveries, formulating buffers and maintaining laboratory consumables as required.
• Support all aspects of Laboratory Management in a variety of tasks both in and out of the lab as and when required by line manager; to include but not limited to laboratory admin and operations support.
• Undertake additional adhoc / project work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES:
• B.Sc. or equivalent in Life Sciences gained on a course that includes practical laboratory work, or ‘A’ Levels and 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience of working to strict quality standards such as ISO9001 or preferably ISO3485 would be an advantage.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Possess a flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job.
• Due to nature of role, the requirement is for Guildford based, office hours and 5 days per week.

Quality Administrator

QUALITY ADMINISTRATOR

ANGLE is a world leading and growing liquid biopsy company that develops products for use in rare cell diagnostics that enable early, accurate identification of an individual’s condition for the prevention, treatment, and monitoring of disease.

At our Head Office in Guildford, UK are looking for a Quality Administrator to provide day to day support to the company’s quality function.

This is a newly created role will be responsible for carrying out routine administrative tasks, generating reports and documents and conducting evaluations relating to the company’s ISO 13485 (2016) quality management system (QMS).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Daily administration of the company’s QMS, including document control, records management, equipment management, CAPA and internal audits.
• Work with the Quality Engineer to support the internal ANGLE audit program, including filing and printing of documents. And, maintaining these records.
• Updating records on the server, CRM and SharePoint as per ANGLE requirements and procedures
• Assist in conducting second level initial and periodic supplier evaluations
• Assist in creating draft instructions, documents and templates
• Assist in running basic statistical reports
• Support overall company compliance with the QMS.
• Undertake additional adhoc / project work as required

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES:
• Excellent computer literacy; Word, Excel and MS Access.
• Experience of using CRM – Zoho desirable
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong team player with excellent analytical and communication skills, who is passionate about quality and the medical device industry
• Possess a flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job
• A degree in a technical or numerical subject, or any subject requiring accuracy would be an advantage
• Previous Quality Assurance or audit experience an advantage
• Experience of working within the medical device industry would be a significant advantage
• We would also welcome Science graduates who have some experience in audit and/or compliance work.
• Due to nature of role, the requirement is for Guildford based, office hours and 5 days per week.
