Unique Secure located on Surrey Research Park is a small product design and manufacturing business but has diverted its expertise and resources to design and produce visors. It is striving to donate 10,000 visors to the NHS free of charge by 31st May and is appealing for donations to support their efforts.
Unique Secure was originally approached by the University of Surrey to help produce the visors. The first production run was very successful and Unique Secure has now been given free access to additional space in the Park’s Surrey Technology Centre to enable the company to scale-up its efforts to provide the much-needed PPE.
Unique Secure are designers and manufacturers of secure hardware solutions for Point of Sale. They distribute across Europe, USA and Worldwide but as a result of the current economic environment, they have put their traditional day to day business on hold. However, they were able to divert their limited, but dynamic, resources into providing a solution for front line workers and to make a difference.
David Rimer, Chief Executive of Unique Secure, comments: “It has been well documented that the supply of PPE for front line NHS staff has not met the current demands and ongoing needs. We have a way to help. Unique Secure have designed a new visor, one that can be manufactured locally and delivered directly to the front-line staff for free. We have an existing solid supply chain and have sourced/receipted all materials. We have already made 1,800 visors on our first production run but are now looking to scale-up production into the many thousands.”

Visors are low cost and they are appealing for donations to support them in continuing to produce and deliver them. These will go directly to the frontline NHS workers free of charge. Every £5 donated will help fund the production of multiple visors. If you can’t donate please help Unique Secure by spreading the word. Unique Secure’s goal is to donate 10,000 visors by 31st May 2020.
