Surrey Sports Park seeks placement student

Surrey Sports Park (SSP) is one of Europe’s premier sites for sport, health, wellbeing and leisure. Driven by three key principles of performance, participation and personal development, their vision is to inspire and support the sporting ambitions of all users, from world class athletes to grassroots beginners.

The Park is home to a number of high-performance sports teams and athletes. A regular host to Harlequins Rugby Union, Surrey Storm Netball, Surrey Scorchers Basketball, and Guildford City Swimming Club, the venue was also selected as an official London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Training Base, which saw it host 17 nations for training camps.

Due to an expansion in performance support service provision, SSP are recruiting a strength & conditioning (S&C) placement student from the University of Surrey for the period August 2022 to August 2023.

The successful candidates will gain experience supporting a range of athletes and sports including Surrey Storm, Surrey Scorchers, TASS, and Team Surrey.

Administrative duties will also be undertaken in support of the wider performance team. Working hours of the placement will be discussed at interview, but will include some evening and weekend work.

To apply for this position please email your CV and a covering letter to: t.mccann@surrey.ac.uk
