Supporting talent flow to businesses at Surrey Research Park

Surrey Research Park (SRP) has set up a Talent Working Group to help support company growth and provide opportunities for University of Surrey students and graduates.  

The initiative commenced this week with representatives from companies on the Park, the University Careers & Employability Team, Doctoral College and Surrey Business School.

The proposed purpose of the group is to:  

• Support the growth of SRP companies, and opportunities for students, by driving the effectiveness and efficiency of talent provision
• Work towards broadening the scope of recruitment for SRP companies beyond the supply of talent from the University
• Support and promote opportunities for talent, leading to SRP becoming a Centre of Excellence in the region for talent provision – attracting the best quality applicants to develop their careers in Surrey
• Ensure retention of skills and talent in Guildford, to maximise regional economic impact

The next meeting will take place in May and we will be regularly updating our customers on progress.
