S100 Angel Investment Club signs up to Investing in Women Code

The S100 Angel Investment Club is delighted to sign-up to the British Business Bank’s Investing in Women Code.

A review published in 2019 highlighted that on average female-led businesses receive less funding than those headed by men at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey. The review went on to state that only 1% of venture capital funding goes to businesses founded by all-female teams. This is an unbelievable statistic and we need to stand for change.

By signing the Investing in Women Code, the S100 Club is committed to the following:

• having a nominated member of the senior leadership team who will be responsible for supporting equality in access to finance
• increasing the transparency of financial services firms’ data concerning support for female entrepreneurs
• adopting internal practices to improve the outlook for female entrepreneurs
