Surrey Space Centre helped launch the UK small satellite industry from a kitchen table, while Professor Alf Adams made the digital world we live in possible. His semiconductor laser powers the high-speed internet.
Surrey Research Park has been an important part of the University’s story since 1985. Together we are tackling new global challenges – from mitigating air pollution to creating the next generation of solar energy devices, to protecting our natural world through eDNA technology, and developing personalised cancer treatment.

Attend ‘lightning talks’ and interactive demonstrations from the University of Surrey’s leading academics and Surrey Research Park companies, as they reveal some of the wonderful discoveries being made across our community.
Participating companies include; Naturemetrics, Igenomix, Alcis Geo, SATRO, Datar Cancer Genetics, BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, Diverse Interactive, The Whiteley Clinic and Love-Struck.
Surrey Showcase LIVE will take place on the Austin Pearce Piazza on Tuesday 14 June at 3pm, with a free BBQ and refreshments.
