A purpose-built facility designed specifically for patients, Guildford PET-CT Centre is situated away from the acute hospital site and is easy to get to with free parking and public transport links. Inside the centre, the facilities are all on one level, making it accessible and easy to navigate with a calm and relaxing environment.
In just a few short months, the expert team at Guildford have delivered over 800 scans.
Working for and with trusted partner Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, this new centre relocates the PET-CT service from Royal Surrey County Hospital to a technologically advanced digital scanner.

Guildford PET-CT Centre features one of only two GE Discovery MI 5-Ring Gen 2 PET-CTs in the UK, 33% more sensitive than a 4-ring digital PET-CT and able to detect smaller lesions at earlier stages than ever before. Patients benefit from lower radiation doses and quicker scans, with full-body imaging completed in just 10 minutes.
The new centre also allows Alliance Medical to carry out vital research into diseases such as cancer and dementia.
