Networking event at Surrey Space Centre

The Space Research and Innovation Network for Technology (SPRINT) will be coming to the Surrey Space Centre on 12th March to hold an event for SMEs, academics and organisations to learn more about collaborative partnership opportunities within the programme.

SPRINT is a 3-year, £4.8m programme looking to engage UK-based space and space-related SMEs, with the aim to initiate funded projects with its five university partners – one of which is the University of Surrey. The programme is funding businesses that are developing applications powered by space-sector technology or satellite applications, such as GPS and earth observational imagery and data.

At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Surrey’s leading space experts from the home of the ground-breaking RemoveDEBRIS project, learn more about Surrey’s history in the space industry and meet companies involved in services for space and other key sectors. Speakers will include the Director of the Surrey Space Centre, Guglielmo ‘G’ Aglietti; Vice-Provost, Research and Innovation, David Sampson and members of the SPRINT team, who will present news from current and upcoming SPRINT projects and how SMEs can access funding.

Funded by Research England, SPRINT provides funded access to expertise, data and facilities from five of the UK’s leading space-sector universities to support businesses in the innovation and development of new space-enabled technologies and applications.

Registration for this event is free.
