The University of Surrey is recruiting for a Student Success Coach to join the Student Success team.
As a Student Success Coach, you’ll deliver specialist, proactive, and personalised support to students, helping them develop academic confidence and personal agency. Working within a collaborative framework, you’ll identify and engage with students who may be at risk of disengagement or withdrawal, offering tailored one-to-one coaching and guidance.
This is a dynamic role focused on supporting academic success for all of our Students. You’ll work closely with Senior Tutors, academic colleagues, and student support services to ensure seamless and effective wraparound support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one coaching and group support for students across the faculty.
- Use data and referrals to proactively identify students at risk of disengagement.
- Build trusted, ongoing relationships with students to promote belonging and academic progress.
- Support students in accessing wider university services and resources.
- Monitor progress using engagement and attendance systems, and contribute to institutional improvements through feedback and insight.
- Contribute to the delivery of Personal and Professional Skills modules alongside academic staff.
