Security Manager Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL)

SSTL is recruiting for a Security Manager (Fixed Term Contract until 2018), to maintain the physical security of the company’s commercial and government assets and support the wider IT, Personnel and Project Security functions.

Core activities include:

• Completion of documentation necessary to maintain Facilities Security Certificate (FSC – FSC policy and guidance) and Industrial Personal Security Assurance (IPSA)
• Development of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with HMG and corporate security standards to cover all the below areas
• Management of physical security systems (AACS, IDS, CCTV & Locks)
  • Management of physical security systems including onboarding (creating access cards & ID, training etc) & offboarding users
  • Organisation of maintenance and execution of audit of physical security systems
  • Organisation & management of keys for security equipment
  • Updating of Guarding Instructions

PERSON SPECIFICATION (essential requirements)

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) in a technical subject is preferable but not essential.
• A qualification in Security or progress on MoD / DISA / NPSA training paths is a preference – but training will be provided
• Must be a UK citizen, must be able to attain and hold National Security Vetting at DV level and explosives licence.
