Research Programme Manager University of Surrey

The University of Surrey is looking for a project manager to plan, coordinate and drive research activities across two of our flagship research programmes led by the Centre for Vision Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) and the Surrey Institute for People-Centred AI at the University of Surrey. These programmes are funded by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)
- AI4ME is a five-year UKRI-EPSRC prosperity partnership led by the University of Surrey in collaboration with the BBC and the University of Lancaster. This programme is at the forefront of pioneering AI technologies to enable the creation and delivery of future personalised media experiences for everyone which can adapt to individual interests, accessibility requirements and preferences.
- The CoSTAR National Lab is the largest investment in creative industries research and development (R&D) in UK history: a £51.1m UKRI-AHRC programme to develop a National R&D Lab for creative technologies to ensure the UK’s screen and performance industries have the innovation infrastructure needed to compete globally. The University of Surrey leads the Creative AI Futures research programme in the CoSTAR National Lab. including digital humans, generative AI, media provenance and AI for creative technologies and storytelling.
The role embraces flexible working arrangements, with an expectation of on-site presence at the University of Surrey for at least 50% of the working week (alongside collaboration with partner organisations as required).
