The facilities at AURA are state-of-the-art and include four operating theatres, 160 slice CT scanner, with Injector pump, C-arm fluoroscopy unit, Cell-salvage auto-transfusion unit, intra-operative imaging with Near-InfraRed Fluorescence (NIRF), Interventional Radiology suite, minimally invasive surgical equipment, cystoscopy/endoscopy/bronchoscopy, 2 chemotherapy rooms plus hood room, contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS), digital radiography and full in-house laboratory.
You will report to the Front of House Supervisor and work collaboratively with other team members, clients and colleagues to meet the needs of patients and their owners, improving the service delivery and patient journey.
Summary of Role:
The role of a ward Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) is vital in providing inpatient care within the hospital. It requires the post holder to work closely with our clinical team to include the specialists, residents, interns, Senior RVNs, RVNs and Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs). It is essential that the post holder is driven and motivated to learn and develop their clinical nursing skills and knowledge to an advanced level. The role requires dedication and hard work to ensure the delivery of the highest level of patient care. This role is specifically a wards-based role and is focussed on inpatient care, which may involve critical and one to one nursing care. It involves the use of advanced nursing skills and proactivity to ensure all patients’ needs are met or exceeded.
