Procurement Manager Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL)

Surrey Satellite Technology Limited is looking for a Procurement Manager to manage all procurement functions. The role is to ensure the success of project delivery, encompassing team development & leadership, processes & policies and continuous improvement initiatives. The role holder shall be heavily focused on operational (project) delivery whilst line managing 3 project (direct) buyers and 2 non-project (indirect) buyers.

Key Tasks

• Act as the business focal point for all Project related satellite Electrical, Mechanical and services procurement.
• Highlight key open procurement issues & actions at the monthly project reviews. Ensure the facts for project issues are gathered, formally recorded and presented.
• Ensure team performance is measured via appropriate KPI’s. Track and report key metrics to reduce cost and improve effectiveness.
• Ensure workload planning is up to date and accurate for open projects and ensure workload planning for bids is based on a standard costing model.
• Work with the Head of Supply Chain to develop and implement a clearly defined and companywide purchasing strategy (including supplier selection & continued evaluation) seeking agreement from key stakeholders
