Office Manager NatureMetrics

Expires: 20/06/2025

NatureMetrics is a global leader in biodiversity monitoring and environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis, and is recruiting for an Office Manager.

Do you thrive in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment where your exceptional organisational skills and proactive spirit can truly make a difference? Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to contribute to a company revolutionising how they understand and protect our planet? If so, NatureMetrics invites you to become their Office Manager (fondly referred to as the Office Alchemist!) in their vibrant Guildford office.

This isn’t your typical office manager role. You’ll be the linchpin that keeps our cutting-edge teams running smoothly, while also wielding your impressive organizational prowess to drive exciting projects forward. Reporting directly to their Chief Scientific Officer, you’ll have a unique vantage point to contribute to our mission of generating critical biodiversity data for a healthier planet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate the Guildford and London Hubs: You’ll be the go-to person for all things office-related in our Guildford HQ, home to the largest environmental DNA laboratories in the world, and ensure our London satellite (managed office space) is supported. From ensuring a seamless and inspiring work environment to managing facilities, supplies, and vendor relationships, you’ll create spaces where innovation flourishes.
  • Empower Our Technical Superstars: You’ll provide crucial administrative support to our scientific teams at the HQ, anticipating their needs and freeing them up to focus on groundbreaking research. This will involve diary management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and preparing important documents.
  • Welcome the World to NatureMetrics: You’ll be the friendly and professional face of our Guildford office, coordinating visits by clients, partners, and other external visitors, ensuring they have a positive and productive experience. This includes managing meeting room bookings, providing refreshments, and ensuring a smooth welcome process.
About you
  • Proven experience as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, or in a similar role with demonstrable organisational and administrative excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, including with external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and resourceful mindset, with a knack for anticipating needs and solving problems before they arise.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
