February 15, 2022 | Placement
The Royal Surrey County Hospital blood sciences department is looking for a biomedical science student who wants to complete their IBMS registration portfolio leading to HCPC registration.
The blood sciences lab consists of specimen reception, biochemistry, haematology and blood transfusion. Over the course of a year, the student will work as a medical laboratory assistant rotating through all sections of the blood sciences laboratory.
The work placement, although unpaid, offers excellent work experience and the opportunity to complete the IBMS registration portfolio.
Completion is solely the responsibility of the student who will need to do this outside of their normal laboratory working hours. They will therefore need to be highly motivated and able to prioritise their time efficiently.
This work placement is for a full 12 months, 30-hours a week, Monday to Thursday 9am-5:30pm.
To apply, please send a CV and covering letter to Arlene Nubi, Site Lead BMS Blood Sciences: [email protected]
