Surrey Sports Park re-opens

We are glad to confirm to our tenants at Surrey Research Park that Surrey Sports Park, which is adjacent to our Park, will be opening on Saturday 25 July and there will be a fitness timetable of 71 classes initially.

Gym equipment will be spaced out and fitness classes will run in the studios and arenas to allow more space for members to participate safely.

The Sports Park has shared some helpful frequently asked questions surrounding the health and safety of members and how they are functioning operationally to align with current social distancing guidelines.

Key changes to note

New booking platform – SSP Online is more interactive and user friendly. In order to be able to make a booking or a purchase when the booking system opens on Friday 17 July, you will need to re-register your details online  and un-freeze your membership by emailing memberships@surreysportspark.co.uk

Access to SSP for a gym slot or a class is by pre-booking only.

Non-members will still be able to book Pay As You Go sessions upon re-opening.

The building will be operating a one-way system clearly marked with new signs and staff will provide you with clear instructions on arrival.

Enhanced cleaning regimes will be in operation.

Changing rooms will only be available to those with disabilities.

The Treatment Room will be open for both online and in-person appointments.

The pool will remain closed for unsupervised, public sessions for the time being and all swimming lessons are currently suspended until further notice.

All BUCS, Surrey Moves and Play Sport sessions are also cancelled until further notice, including off-campus activity.
