Nature Research in partnership with Merck launched The Spinoff Prize last year.
Applications from University spinoffs established in the past three years and seeking to translate innovative new science into commercial applications that tackle global challenges are encouraged to enter.
The Spinoff Prize offers early stage university spinoff companies a platform to build reputation, increase exposure and enhance attractiveness to investors and venture capital firms.
Nature Research is a division of the international scientific publishing company Nature that publishes academic journals, magazines, online databases, and services in science and medicine and selected spinoffs will be featured on nature.com.
Shortlisted companies will pitch at a slam event as part of the Curious2021 Future Insight Conference, for a chance to win the €30,000 cash prize.
All of the featured spinoffs are offered a digital ‘badge’ to flag their success to interested parties.
Application is free of charge. The deadline for application is 15 November 2020.
