SETsquared Surrey

SETsquared Surrey, is a business incubation hub located in Surrey Technology Centre. The hub offers members various options for start-up business support, as well as guiding students into entrepreneurship and promoting university-to-business technology transfer.

Investment, grants and funding for SETsquared companies comes from a variety of sources including the Surrey 100 Club and the Business Enterprise programmes.  Companies on the Park have attracted over £120 million in funding and created over a thousand jobs.

SETsquared Network, run by five universities in Southern England, has been ranked as the top university-based business incubator in the world by UBI Global for four consecutive years.

Business Enterprise Programmes Team

The Business Enterprise Programmes team connect SMEs with academics at the University of Surrey to foster innovation and value creation. They can help you identify whether the University of Surrey has the appropriate expertise to suit your needs.

The team manages a number of funded programmes for collaboration with the University of Surrey including: Innovate UK Smart grants and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships; SME Innovation Vouchers; SPRINT and Scale-Up Programme.

ANGEL INVESTMENT NETWORK

The Surrey of University’s S100 Club matches Angel investors with entrepreneurs as well as providing support and training to businesses raising finance.

A strong relationship with the University of Surrey and the SETsquared partnership give the Club unrivalled access to the most innovative companies.

Since it was founded, the Club has helped companies to raise over £75 million from 50 pitch events and also facilitates the many links the Club has with other Angel networks and Angel funds, allowing strong syndicates to form to complete the investment round
