We strongly recommend all tenants and visitors in managed buildings with common areas (which includes Surrey Technology Centre, Stirling House and 30 Alan Turing Road) wear a face covering whilst moving through these buildings and in shared indoor spaces.
Whilst social distancing in common areas and meeting rooms is no longer a legal requirement, we actively encourage tenants to maintain a safe distance. Protecting those members of our community that are vulnerable and each other from the spread of the virus moving forward.
We will continue to use the NHS Test and Trace app in the Café and request all staff, tenants and their visitors make use of this system to continue keeping others safe.
Additionally, we can all play our part in minimising the transmission rate by:
- Letting fresh air into spaces (where possible)
- continuing to keep a level of social distancing
- use sanitiser stations located around the building(s)
- testing at home regularly
- isolating when positive or contacted by NHS Test and Trace
Restrictions remain in place on our University of Surrey campuses for now – Following government advice for all Higher Education providers, a comprehensive review of the University of Surrey’s risk assessments is underway to prepare for the easing of restrictions. We await to hear of any changes to its plans for the new academic year. In the meantime, the University will continue to follow current measures for teaching and working practices.
Throughout the pandemic, Surrey Research Park has worked hard to remain operational and accessible, maintaining covid-secure measures to ensure our environment is as safe as possible for tenants, visitors and staff. We will therefore continue to put in place measures to create an environment as safe as possible, with additional sanitising services provided in common areas and reduced capacity seating in meeting rooms, restaurant and breakout spaces.
We will regularly review this position over the next few months and keep all tenants updated should procedures change. However, whilst cases are high and rising, everybody needs to act carefully and remain cautious.
In addition, all signage will start changing next week to align with the information above and we hope you can support and play your part in keeping our community as safe as possible.
