UK businesses can apply for a share of up to £14.4 million for service-led innovations to support healthy ageing, through the Healthy Ageing Challenge run by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The challenge will help businesses create products and services to help people age positively, actively, independently and with dignity – and deliver them at scale.
Research shows that on average, the poorest in society die around nine years before their more affluent peers and experience ill health almost two decades earlier. The competition aims to improve health outcomes later in life and narrow health inequalities by supporting business-led, near-to-market innovations.
The competition opens on Monday 20 September 2021 with a webinar briefing event on 21st September. Find out more here.
