DESCRIPTION:\nGetting businesses ready for investment!\n\n\n\nThe SETsquared Surrey Investment Readiness Programme will walk you through raising angel finance, and help you build your funding strategy along with teaching you how to prepare an investment pitch deck and a one-page summary. The programme culminates in you delivering your investment pitch to the rest of the group and to the SETsquared Surrey team.\nProgramme Events and Dates (you must be available to attend all five sessions):\nRaising Angel Finance Masterclass – Tuesday 10th March (10.00 am – 12.00 pm)\nDuring this masterclass, we will welcome you to this SETsquared Surrey programme and we will explore the following:\n\nAngel money or VC and what they look for in businesses\nSources of Angel Money\nOther Sources of potential funding – i.e. Bank Finance, grants\nAlternatives to external funding – organic growth from accelerating sales & improved account management\nWhat to do to prepare yourself for external funding, ie what should a Business Plan contain\nFundraising best practices and key mistakes to avoid\nHow much time will the top management team have to invest in raising funding?\nWhere does Crowd Funding fit in the mix of raising early-stage funding?\nShould you consider gifting, or loans, and which Crowdfunding site to use\n\nThis session is run by Colin Spiller who has worked for over 6 years as the Business Development Manager for an early-stage Tech-focused VC and generated an extra £1.5m for the investee companies. Launched the London Angel Club for Angels Den, which typically raised £1m to £2m for 6 to 10 business pa, and also delivered their Masterclasses for new Angel Investors.\nFunding Strategy Workshop – Tuesday 24th March (10.00 am – 12.00 pm)\nBy the end of this 3-hour workshop, you will be able to visualize and present your investment strategy and funding roadmap. This cornerstone capability will help you to profile the investors you are looking for and create a compelling investor pitch.\nBusiness Valuations Masterclass – Wednesday 1st April (10:00 am – 12:00 pm)\nDelivered by Azets (Local Accountants & Business Advisory Services | Azets UK)\nInvestment Pitch Preparation and Exec Summary Workshop – Wednesday 15th April (09:30 am – 1.30 pm)\nWe will talk you through how to put together a 5 or 10-minute investment pitch deck along with a one-page summary. We will provide templates/guides for you to use and examples of what makes a good pitch and one-page summary.\nInvestment Pitch Review Session – Thursday 30th April (1.00 pm – 4.30 pm)\nIn this session, you will deliver an elevator-style pitch to the rest of the group and you will gain valuable feedback from your peers and from the SETsquared Surrey team.\nWho should apply?\nThe programme is open to UK entrepreneurs looking for support and advice before seeking angel investment.\nHow much does it cost?\nThis programme costs £500+VAT.
